Our Lieterature section is now divided into three categories:  General Interest; Technical Publications and Military Publications.  Whether it be a military manual, general interest “coffee table” reference book or a factory workshop manual, there’s something for all.  Please keep in mind that with the exception of the technical publications (many of which are multi-lingual) all general and military publications are in German. For those who have access to microfiche readers we can offer the complete German military parts catalog with NATO stock numbers for cross reference purposes.  Many of the new old stock  (NOS) parts on the market are encountered with these numbers alone.  We can offer as well Mercedes Special Version (SA) microfiche.  Quantities on these items is very limited !

23-01-003L DAS GROSSE UNIMOG BUCH, Doehmann / Niemeier, 1993

No Unimog library should be without this work. German text, 184pp. Softbound

23-01-006L DER UNIMOG IM GELAENDE, G. Hindennach
Hindennach has put forth his own impressions, history and employment of the Unimog concept and models in this work. As a member of the Europa Truck Trial administration and winner of the event in the year 2000, he has laid out the book with a heavy emphasis on the participation of Unimogs in this event. This publication, in German, may be challenging to the English-only speaking community, as Hindennach puts forth much practical knowledge and experience in written form. German text, 144pp. Hardbound

23-01-005L UNIMOG IM EINSATZ, Ralf Maile 2001
Another Ralf Maile work. For those who want a general description of the development and history of the Unimog this book brings you current to the newer 405 series, or U500. This is the model most-recently imported by the Freightliner organization into the US. This is also a high quality publication demonstrating the many-faceted application of the Unimog throughout the world. Noteworthy here are photos of a French 404 with solid tires, the business end of a home made snow cutter on the 421 chassis and several shots of the 6x6 U2450. German text, 143pp. Hardbound

23-01-002L UNIMOG RATGEBER, H. Wessel 2001
This is a compilation of the first ten editions of the Unimog Ratgeber which describes all types of sales prospects, press releases, news items, technical tips, etc. which appeared in the Ratgeber (advice-giver, literally), mainly in the 1950s. This was in a time when many Europeans had no connection with the world except for the printed page: no TV, no Internet, etc. It catered to the uses for which the Unimog has become noted, namely, agriculture, the then recovering industrial and transportation (rail) sectors in Germany, forestry, and municipal uses, with a smattering of similar situations shown worldwide. This is a nostalgic look back into time that has elements as current today as when first applied to the Unimog concept. German text, hardbound 160pp.
